Project:Academic Research Center
Description:The project consists of all work relative to the renovation and addition to an existing natatorium, to convert it into an academic resource center. This includes partial demolition of exterior masonry walls, removal of the existing Olympic swimming pool, placement of new concrete fill and slabs, structural steel, aluminum and masonry exterior walls, conventional interior framing with steel studs, drywall and acoustical ceilings. All new mechanical systems including fire sprinklers, alarm, telecommunications and associated integrated campus control systems. All work is being completed while the building is occupied.
Project:MARS Theatre
Description:Renovation and addition of a historical theatre with an extended stage, new back of the house auxiliary rooms and dressing rooms and side stage square footage for performances. New finishes throughout complimented the existing historical architectural features.
Project:Screven County High School Auditorium
Description:This project consisted of the complete interior and exterior renovations of a 1960’s, 500 seat auditorium. The existing seating risers did not meet current life safety and ADA requirements and therefore required all new concrete seating risers to be formed and poured inside the existing auditorium. The existing restrooms and dressing rooms were demolished and new modern facilities were provided. The existing asbestos and lead containing materials were abated and new materials and finishes were provided. State of the art stage production equipment and modern fixed audience seating were also provided.
Project:TCL
Description:Renovation of an existing building into a modernized, usable classroom space for their construction program. Exterior remodeling, interior classroom buildouts, a new MEP package and a revamped shop space for the students to have hands on learning.
Project:Zaxby's
Description:New construction of Zaxby’s flagship homecoming store just 80 steps from the franchise’s original conception. 4,500 square feet of custom selected exterior and interior finishes pronounce this stand-alone building on Chandler Avenue. Design-build concepts took place during construction. The owners were intricately involved in order to provide a product that they could release within their company for future franchisees as their hybrid model.
Project:St. Joseph's Fountain
Description:Custom re-design and installation of a unique water feature for the entrance of St. Joseph’s Hospital. This fountain is a central focus for all visitors to the hospital with the tiered design and seating area.
Project:Colony Bank
Description:C. Merrill Construction worked as construction managers to convert an 8,000 square foot event center into the largest branch of Colony Bank. We did a complete gut of the building and converted a bare bones space into a luxury commercial lending bank. The scope included adding bathrooms, breakrooms, offices, teller lines, vaults, and a completely automated drive through.
Project:Rolling Monkey
Description:The Rolling Monkey tenant build-out in Statesboro, GA is a remarkable display of custom craftsmanship. Mixed use of material combinations moves the users through the interesting space. With the high volume of customers, careful attention was paid to the custom features to ensure their longevity and low maintenance. The owners had a distinct vision that CMC was able to deliver and help them move forward with franchising their design.
Project:Claude Howard Lumber Executive Office Renovation
Description:The existing CHL executive office building located on the Stateboro Howard Lumber campus was ready for an overhaul and up to date renovation. We were able to complete the interior and exterior renovation while the staff continued to work and maintain day to day operations. A specialty area was designated outside under a new covered patio to display historical artifacts that the company has collected over the years. The interior renovation included new finishes, flooring, lighting and furniture throughout.
